This exciting, two year art project, ‘TO SEE IS TO REMEMBER’, is based on the history of the lives and memorabilia of the Japanese Canadians during the 1940’s and early 1950’s which was made possible through an art grant provided by the Japanese Canadian Legacy Society with support from the City of Colwood, Goldfinch Art Centre of Colwood, Nikkei National Museum and Cultural Centre, Victoria Nikkei Cultural Society, and Landscapes of Injustice/Past Wrongs and Future Choices through the University of Victoria. A portion from the sales of the ‘TO SEE IS TO REMEMBER’ collection will be donated to the Victoria Nikkei Cultural Society. Additionally, a portion of the sales of the exhibited art from The Collection of the Artist will be donated to support the needs of the Ukrainian people.
